Fab-Con Machinery Development Corporation was established in 1965. In over the forty years that have followed its creation, Fab-Con has grown into one of the most respected and innovative manufacturers for the Knit Goods Industry, with a major share in the North America and Central America markets and a growing world market.

The initial philosophy was to build durable, highly productive tubular and open-width finishing equipment that would address the industry’s growing need for the higher quality at low operating cost. This vision has allowed FAB-CON to grow and vastly broaden its product range, even through times of economic recession, to become a major force in the knit industry. Fab-Con has installed over 1,500 pieces of equipment in over twenty countries.

The Fab-Con Corporate Headquarters are located in Port Washington, New York. There are three facilities in Port Washington incorporating the administrative, engineering, manufacturing, and assembly of equipment for every phase of knit goods finishing. The Southern operation based in Harrisburg, North Carolina is home to the sales staff and technical service group.

Fab-Con services high-end manufacturer’s of knitwear for men’s, women’s and children’s outerwear and underwear. Fab-Con markets and holds major market shares in the Knit Fabric Finishing Equipment in the United States, Honduras, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Mexico, Canada, Egypt, Thailand, Greece, as well as a growing market in other countries.

Major global producers operating in the US and Central America using our equipment include Hanes Brands, Gildan, Anvil, Alstyle, and Fruit of the Loom as well as leading Asian companies such as Nan Yang in Thailand, Riad Group in Egypt, NR Group in Bangladesh, and Victory City Group in China. There are also many mid-sized and small companies operating globally that prefer Fab-Con equipment over other suppliers.
