The 2-Roll "TC" Pad is designed primarily to chemically finish dry fabrics (resin treating), having internally driven spreaders which work in conjunction with external control rolls for stripe or crossline control. Steam is applied to both sides of the fabric; then the fabric is immersed in a chemical solution and passes through a set of rubber covered impregnating rolls for uniform chemical application. This machine, normally run in tandem with dryers, can also be equipped with a folding attachment for folded fabric treatment.
The 3-Roll version of this Pad, or "L" Pad, simply has a third roll used for extracting only or for wet-on-wet applications where acceptable.
