The purpose of this machine is to remove the spiral effect created by the feed of a circular knitting machine so the pattern of the fabric can be realigned horizontally during final finishing.
The machine is designed for the treatment of greige fabrics prior to wetting processing or for dry material in advance of calendering. This process may be applied to multi-feed spiral striper where a vertical knife would be employed to remove the selvedge edge prior to matching the horizontal pattern.
