This machine is a combination Tubular Steam Finishing and Heat Setting Unit. The entry section is similar to that used with the "HR" Calender using internally driven overfeed spreaders working in conjunction with external control rolls for full width overfeed and stripe control. This is coupled to a secondary driven spreader which propels and conveys the fabric as fixed width through a heat treating zone. In this heat treating section, the fabric is uniformly exposed to the heat. The cloth temperature is monitored to regulate the output of the burners and maintain consistent cloth treatment. After heat setting, the fabric is cooled and then rolled or folded.
